Hello,
yes there's a difference :
Take an order : You're in a restaurant and the waitress says "Can I take your order?"
Place an order : You want to buy something on the internet and you say : I placed an order online yesterday.
Hope it helps.

Hello!
Is there a difference, or not? Hmmm...Do you think the person who places the order is also the one who takes the order?
Think of a pizza restaurant. You place an order for your pizza, but who takes that order (writes it down) and brings it to the kitchen?
Do you think there is a difference between the two actions?

Hello,
Recently I have discovered "passer une commande" it's "place an order" and not make an order which mean "rendre une ordonnance".
That true or the website where I find that make a mistake?
Thanks for any reply.
