Idea of Progresse
The idea of progress can be defined as an improvement, a development or a change – a technical, scientific or social advance which contributes to making the world a better place.
how does progress affect our society?
For illustrate this notion i’ve chosen two document ,

The first document is a cartoon entitled odd man out We do not know the name of the author
In this factory all the humans are the same, same face, eyes, mouth, underpants and we can suppose they also have the same temper. These similarities are possible thanks to eugenics, a science which studies methods of improving the genetic composition of the human race by selective breeding. And if there are men who aren't conform to the regulation because they are too small, pale, don't have the right hair colour or have a disproportional member in their bodies for example they will be thrown into a dustbin.

The second document is the cartoon “Feed the world” by Banksy, we can see a couple of obese and wealthy Westernersdragged by a skinny black child. They may be on holidays in a poor emerging country : this picture alludes to mass tourism and especially to “slum tourism”. The rich couple is drawn with colors whereas the child and the cart are in grey, so we feel like the cartoonist wants to show that the couple isn’t in the right environment and that they are riches in a poor land.

The third document is a people , Marie Cury is a Scientist of exception, her is the first woman to have received the Nobel prize , It was at the origin of numerous scientific projects in particular the discovery of the radium and polonium, very used in the manufacturing of new materials as well as the medical research because it made numerous searches(researches) on the waves as well as on the radiations which(who) further to that we allowed to make enormous progress on nuclear power.

The artist denounces the idea of perfecting human genetics and the resulting dehumanization , With this document he underlines as well the lack of personality of the society, and as every person not going into the mold that the company society imposes the individual is excluded we can make link with the notion places and formes of power , because The society exercises a shape of power of exclusion if the person is different from criteria been imperative by the society .

The bansky’s point of view is : wants to show that the couple isn’t in the right environment and that they are riches in a poor land. He points to the double-edged problems of this tourism : it is beneficial for the economy but it favors child labor They also denounce the disparities of development between countries. I’m agree with brains’s point of view because tourism in underdeveloped country Favor it child labor, because these countries do not respect the Charter of Human Rights, And as the children are of the less expensive workforce they exploit them the most shocking are that the tourists accept that . and this document is allusion connection with the notion places and form of power with the power of money

This women could be linked to the notion idea of progress because she allowed numerous technological progress .with her we can make a linke with the notion myth and hero because She became a heroine for a whole population by making discoveries which allowed to improve the conditions of numerous people. And it became a myth in the scientific world...
