Bonjour,
voilà le texte que j'ai fait pour mon oral.
Nowadays, the press has an important role to inform people around the world with numerous events every day. However, are the media really a form of power ? we will first study the informant part of the press as a form of power and after, that this power has limits.
The press informs us quickly to events. The journalist have to investigates and do a story, to give as much information as possible in quality papers. They also go on the scene and interviewed people around. Newspaper have to reveal the truth. Journalist check their source and news are as precise as possible. There are articles on a lots of topics, at all levels (children or scientists , for example) . They have a very important place in everyday life because there are hundreds of newspapers and there are also online. They have influence because readership have an opinion after reading something.
However, we must also pay attention to information published in the press. Some newspapers or websites are not reliable ( tabloids ) . They criticize or reveal false information. Some magazines also expose the privacy of individuals . They especially want to make the headlines. They can create scandals or slander to boost sales and make profit. Some newspapers are also misinform
The press is a way to be informed promptly and with good information. However we have to be careful with some newspapers which are not reliable.
