Bonjour à tous,
serait-il possible que quelqu'un corrige ou annote ma synthèse pour l'oral de LV1 ?
Je vous remercie par avance,
Introduction
Our lives remained always inspired by many myths and an equal number of heroes. From our childhood to our adult life, those heroes change, from Superman to Martin Luther King. In this presentation, we will try to define what a hero is. Most of the heroes are well-known people, fictitious or real people and they embodies values and most of them are role models.
What is a hero ?
We will study the case of many different heroes.
Développement
As the mosaic of pictures on the double page shows it, myths and heroes are people of different kinds : pacifists, cinema heroes, inventors. This pictures means that everybody can find its heroes, no matter what it is and no matter what it represents. But this mosaic shows only successful people, showing that most of the heroes are a bit unattainable.
Nevertheless, Robin Olds, who was admirative of great fighter pilots during WWI had his own father as a hero and role model : he was himself a fighter pilot and ruled the greatest.
But heroes all have a point in common, they can become role models and make people go further and further, like with the example of Vince Papale, a football player who never gave up since he wanted to play in the NFL. Without his great coach, he couldn’t have managed to fulfill his dream. The lesson in that is never to give up and to always keep its dreams in mind, when people find themselves in times of troubles, they would just have to let their dreams be.
People like Priscilla Star and Oprah Winfrey did everything to reach success : Priscilla Star grew up in poverty, her mother was in jail and her father couldn’t afford a decent flat. As far as Oprah Winfrey is concerned, she was born as a black girl in america during Segregation. We don't need to be rocket scientists to understand she had to slave away in order to become what she is now : an opulent and influent lawyer.
But we can consider that some « heroes » are con men, like Justin Bieber who is presented in the book. He’s loved by many teenaged girls and by some adults but he puts forward his cuteness instead of making music by himself. Unfortunately, girls take him as a musician, I just think that he’s a clever man who understood how to make easy money by making use of the ignorants.
People like Steve Jobs or Thomas Edison made many more things for society, by creating things which changed our life.
Conclusion
It seems very difficult to define what a hero is. We can conclude by saying that everybody has its own vision of heroes. To my mind, I guess that a hero is someone who makes you work harder and harder to do like him and who makes you dream.
