I need some help please.
I have read these two sentences and I wonder which of the two is more suitable for asking a question.
1st : What city do they live in ?
2nd : In what city do they live ?
Any reply will be helpful to me.

I would like to add that "In what city do they live?" is somewhat more formal. However, "What city do they live in?" is less formal and more conversational.
