Bonjour,
je vous présente ma synthèse en espérant avoir de l'aide pour sa correction s'il vous plaît.
Merci pour vos réponses.
I am going to talk about the notion of «myth and hero».
So, by definition, a hero is a person who is admired for their courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. It can be the main character in a book or a film or a superhuman qualtites. It can also be a modern hero, a person who has performed a heroic act or simply our own personal hero, our role model.
Firstly, in this year, we have seen Nelson Mandela, this person is a hero for me because he showed great courage to fight against the apartheid in South Africa. For me, Mandela is a typical example of the modern hero, not a movie hero or comic strips hero just an person showing great courage and an person who stands by his actions. Lots of other people can beings considered modern heroes, Martin Luther King and Gandhi are other examples.
Then, to illustrate the notion of «myth» we have seen this year the American dream. The American Dream is the idea that any person living in the United States, through his work, his courage and determination can become prosperous. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates or Barack Obama are examples of people who achieved the American dream.
Finally, the history has been marked by people who defended the populations. They are today considered as a hero by all people. But everyone can be the hero of someone. A hero can be an ordinary person like me or you. Heroes are the different persons, anonymous persons who fight against the inequalities in the world for example Nelson Mandela in South Africa.
