First of all Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was born in 1896, the 24th of September. Besides his name was after Francis Scott Key, a distant parent and the lyricist of the USA national anthem.
His family wasn’t rich but thanks to the inheritance of his mother, Francis entered in the private school Saint Paul Academy then in the junior high school Newman. He was keen on the literature and he used to write a lot of poems.
In addition he was looking forward to enter in Princeton University.
Unfortunately, when he entered in Princeton, he was rejected by others; he had a few of friends.
Then, he left Princeton and in 1917, he entered in the US army for the First World War. It was worth going in the army because he met Zelda Sayre. Thus he fell in love and he married Zelda.
He wrote for her This Side of Paradise which had a huge success. Then he went to live in France and wrote Great Gatsby which has been published in 1925. He wished a real success for Great Gatsby but it wasn’t immediate. Finally F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote a lot of others books and died in 1940 in Hollywood.
Zelda died in the madness in 1948.
To put it in a nutshell Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald was a leader of the Lost Generation, an American literary movement and is still today a very famous writer…

Hello happyboy ,
- forme pleine toujours plus élégante à l'écrit : was not ( 2 fois).
- Francis could enter ( v.transitif + cod : le 'en' est déjà contenu par le verbe )
- St. Paul's Academy public ( = private school .
- Newman's junior high school ( = lycée )
- looked forward to + gerund - joining the US army .
- worth going to ...
- Zelda Sayre ( précise où)
- pl. They fell in love with each other at first sight and got married.
- des guillemets pour citer le moindre ouvrage .
- prétérit passif : which was published .
- The writer expected ( or hoped to get ) much success with it .
- oh ! Oh ! Adjectifs invariables en anglais : other novels such as ( cherche deux autres titres , au moins )
- Il faut parler de leurs goûts respectifs ( luxueux) de la mode dans années 20 ( the twenties ) du jazz New Orleans et des soirées 'folles ' dancing charleston, des belles voitures and so on ..
- Zelda montrait depuis toujours( excentricité débordante) et de plus en plus ( more and more ) des signes de mental disorder what really affected him and influenced his writing.
- she was going mad ; mentally ill .
- she died completely insane , actually.
La conclusion est bonne ; ajoute peut-être que certains de ses livres ont été adaptés au cinéma ce qui l'a rendu connu d'un encore plus vaste public .
Good luck et comme d'habitude , bonne adaptation !

Hello happyboy,
Very sorry for being so late ...but in case you have another look tomorrow morning ...
- a distant relative ( parents ne concernent que père et mère )- Zelda and he were fans of jazz and dancing .
- many novels ( not many poems ) / many ( pas de of , tu penses en français ) novels , after his death ( nom !) , very few ( pas de of , tu penses en français ) friends , not finished = unfinished, unachieved .
He is still very famous and read a lot , and also many films have been successfully adapted from two best-sellers .
Voilà pour ma participation tardive ...have a good night !
