Hello,
Would you say : I usually have a party ON my birthday or AT my birthday?
I would say ON, but I'm not sure !
Thanks!

Hello,
I'd say: I usually have a party for my birthday.
A birthday is not a date; you could say:
I usually have a party on September,1st for my birthday.
I usually have a party to celebrate my birthday.
I think there are other ways to say that.

Thanks for your answer ! In fact, this is an exercise and they give us the choice between "on" and "at" ! I would prefer "for" as well but it's not proposed.....
Thanks !

oops! well then I'd choose ON rather than AT
Perhaps they think that birthday is a date. It sounds strange to me.

It's "on my birthday". This is correct in English (I'm a native speaker).

In this example "birthday" means the date ON which you were born.
As in the sentence "I was born ON the 27th of December"

Ok then, thanks.
In fact I never paid attention to the preposition in that example.
