Hello,
This afternoon, I talked with my British correspondent. We were talking about switching our situation and he said "I be you and you be me".
I asked him why he said "I be...you be" and he couldn't find any explanations :/
Could anyone help me understand that? :-)
Thank you !!

Hello!
You may have misunderstood what he said.
He may have said:"I'll be you and you'll be me".

Hello,
Il devait faire référence à la chanson How About I Be Me (And You Be You)? de Sinead O'Connor sortie en 2012.
Be ici a le sens d'un conditionnel mais a la forme du subjonctif.
I be you and you be me...je serais toi et tu serais moi.
Enfin, c'est comme ça que je le comprends.
Le subjonctif anglais est formé par l'infinitif en fait:
It is important that she write to me ( write est à l'infinitif)
He ordered that the man be imprisoned

Hello
As Lucile said, this is the present subjunctive in English, which is used when talking about events that somebody wants to happen, anticipates will happen, or imagines happening. Imagine that I am you and you are me. Imagine us switching places.

All right, thank you !
