Pls Please help me out to know the difference between think of and think about.

In general, the meaning is similar, but there are subtleties (at least in American English)

To "think of" generally equates more to "recall" - a passive state.
I thought of her often throughout the years. (She came to mind often, but the thought was fleeting)

To "think about" generally equates more to "ponder, cogitate" - an active state.
I thought about her often ... (I recalled several memories of her, I pondered the relationship, etc.)
