Bonjour
je dois écrire les différences et les points communs entre l'Ouest et l'Est américain pendant la conquête de l'Ouest.Pourriez-vous les corriger s'il vous plaît?

Merci d'avance.
In the West, lands were more expensive than the East.
In the West, pioneers looked for gold.
In the West and the Est,were next to ocean.

Bonjour,
In (1) in this sense "land" is usually referred to in the singular, "land was.." not "lands were..."
(2) is Ok
In (3) "Est" should be "East" and there is no subject.

Hello,
In the West and the East, were next to ocean
this sentence is not right.
-You don't need "in the"
-Why did you use 'were"? I guess West and East are still next to the ocean!.
It's up to you....

Right for ocean! I'm stupid.
West, land was more expensive than the East.
West,pioneers looked for gold.
West and the East, are next to ocean.
It is ok?

Hello,
I think dolfine meant that you don't need "in the" in the third sentence, but you do need it in the first two..
"In the West, land was more...etc".
"In the West, pioneers looked for gold"
The third sentence seems a little pointless, if you just want to say that there is an ocean on both sides of the United States. Is this what you want to say?

Ok.
So it is:
In the West, land was more expensive than the East.
In the West, pioneers looked for gold.
West and the East, are next to ocean.
Vous n'auriez pas une idée de point commun?

Hello,
OK, have it your way, but you need a few little changes:
"In the West, land was more expensive that in the East"
"The West and the East both adjoined the ocean"
