I have exercises in English; can you help me please?
Thank you for your answers.
1/. Past simple or past continuous ? (prétérit simple ou continu) put the correct tense.
1: when I ( wake up),the birds (sing) in the trees outside my windows - When I woke up, the birds was singing in the trees outside my windows.
2: While Fred (swim) someone (steal) his clothes
-While Fred was swimming someone stole his clothes.
3: She (work) as a hotel receptionist when I first (meet) her
- She was working as a hotel receptionist when I first met her.
4: I (walk) down that street when a flower-pot (fall) on my head.
- I was walking down that street when a flower-pot fell on my head.
2/Put the Correct form of the verb :
1: When he (live ) in London, he (speak) better english
- When he was living in London , he spoke better english.
2: Next April , his sister (be) 17
-Next April , his sister was 17
3: Why (come not -he) tomorrow with me ?
-Why he doesn't came tomorrow with me ?
4: He (stop) smoking as soon as his doctor ( tell ) him
- He stopped smoking as soon as his doctor telling him

- She was working as a hotel receptionist when I first met her.
4: I (walk) down that street when a flower-pot (fall) on my head.
- I was walking down that street when a flower-pot fell on my head.

Un détail qui a son importance:
- When he was living in London, he spoke better English (majuscule)
