Hi everybody,
Can you help me to understand this sentence please?:
"He outlived his wife by three years"?
Does it mean: He has three years less than his wife? Or He has three years more than his wife?
Thanks a lot.

Hello.
More generally, the prefix "out-" means to do something longer or better than someone (or something) else.
See you.
