Bonjour,
je dois écrire la suite d'un texte qui se passe en Inde durant la colonisation britannique dans les années 1850, un colonel rend visite à un indien qui collabore avec les anglais; le fils de celui-ci se révolte en disant que la supériorité britannique n'est qu'une imagination du peuple. Voilà donc la suite, le dialogue entre le colonel et sa femme;
merci de regarder les fautes :
“Alicia! We are leaving!” he shouted to his wife.
“I don’t wish to stay here one moment longer” he muttered.
Alicia Mills bowed his head and followed his husband without a sight for Indrajit’s family. Colonel Mills and Alicia Mills leaved Indrajit’s house and walked on the way without a word. The Colonel was so angered that he thought ceaselessly about what just happened. Alicia didn’t dared to bother his husband when he was furious.
The Colonel broke the silence: “Who does he guess he is? This Indian doesn’t have to offend a British! This thoughtless young man will pay for his rudeness!” he replied furiously. Alicia listened his husband and like she saw that he was still irritated, she nodded.
“Perhaps this boy is disrupted, but about what? India will be better when the British will rule India!” Colonel exclaimed
“Perhaps this young man doesn’t think like that.” Alicia faltered.
“How he can reckon differently?” Colonel Mills ventured.
“May I please simply suggest that the British are colonizing India, and perhaps this boy reckon that we will rule his country, maybe he thinks that British want exploit Indian, you know he’s a young boy, he doesn’t understand what’s happen, and he wants to defend this family and this country” Alicia explained.
Colonel Mills figures one moment about this wife’s speech.
“He’s a young boy, if this happened to me when I had his age, I guess I shall have rebelled.” Colonel confessed he stopped and added “But now British are ruling India and Indian need to respect that.”
