Bonsoir
J'ai dû écrire quelques lignes en anglais
The painting is strange because there is an another canvas in the paint. The painting looks like a photograph. It shows a man who observes the painting probably in a museum.
The man is back, he looks old and he is in the center of the painting. He looks the canvas very closely. He wears a suit and black shoes. He holds in his hands a big hat, an umbrella and a newspaper.
The canvas in painting has the same size as the man. It is very colorful. In the middle at the bottom there is a big spot in a light color. I think around it there are brighty-colored. The painter used the dripping method. We have the impression that he threw tubs of paint on the canvas by chance without an idea of the final look. He let the paint drip. The painting is abstract, it can express joy, anger.
Most of the time painters signed their works at the bottom right hand corner but not here. He signed next to the man's feet.
I think that painting representes a connoisseur in front of a work.
Merci !

Hello!
The painting is strange because there is an another canvas in the painting. The painting looks like a photograph. It shows a man
The man is back [revenir?], he looks old and he is in the center of the painting. He looks [present continuous (PC)] [il faut une préposition] the canvas very closely. He wears [(PC)] a suit and black shoes. He holds [(PC)] in his hands a big hat, an umbrella and a newspaper.
The canvas in the painting
Most of the time painters signed their works at the bottom right hand corner but not here. He signed next to the man's feet.
I think that the painting representes a connoisseur in front of a work.
Notez bien la différence entre "the paint is dripping" et "the paint is running".
Cordialement
