Comment puis-je exprimer cette expression ?
Par exemple : je demande à John de t'envoyer ce paquet
I ask John to send you this parcel ?
Est-ce correct ?
Une autre question avec un peu plus de nuance :
J'avais pourtant bien demandé à john d'envoyer ce paquet.
I did ask John to send this parcel ?

First of all, it's not a question. If it were a question, it would be phrased like this:
Can I ask John to send you this parcel? Correct
Normally, we would say:
I will/I'll ask John to send you this parcel.
I asked John to send you this parcel. (I already asked John to send the parcel.)
I have asked John to send you this parcel.
Le choix dépend du contexte.

I had insisted on John sending this parcel.
