Bonjour à tous!
je reviens solliciter votre aide pour la correction de deux résumés que je dois faire pour mon cours d'anglais. Il s'agit de deux articles, l'un du New York Times et l'autre du Figaro.

RESUME
This Article titled “the French, world’s gloomiest people” from the Figaro was published the January 3rd 2011. The journalist, xxx, interviewed xxx, director of xxx, about a recent poll called “Voice of the people” which gauges the mood of 53 countries around the world.
On the one hand, according to this interview, “…61% of French people think that 2011 will be a year of “economic difficulties” compared to global average of 28%”.xxx underscores the fact French people are less confidence in the welfare state because many problems such as failure of the French school system, public accounts or even system of retirement. This problem are not exclusive to France, however it seems they are more sensitive to the social aspect embodied in the state.
On the other hand, the poll points out the fact that despite French people are pessimist about the future of France, they are only 37% to “…think that their personal situation will be worse in 2011”. Apparently, the own personal situation and the state of the country are for French people two disparate things. Even if the future of your country is bad, your personal situation in it can be independently improved. However, xxx highlights the fact, the previous year, “…only 24% of French people thought that their personal situation would be worse…”. Consequently, it seems even their personal situation is more and more gloomier.
Contrary to France, the emerging countries are more optimistic. It can appear weird in view of the low standard of living in these countries. It’s probably because, as xxx said, the “…economic growth rates continue to rise despite the crisis”. Or more particularly because problems are not similar in each countries “…while the French are thinking about their purses, the xxx are thinking about security”.
To conclude, This article shows the fact that mood and vision of the future are independent of the standard of living. Actually, It seems to depend not only of the social aspect of the country but also the way of interpreting the same question straightly linked to your culture and needs.
