Is back
Thanks a lot in advance for your answers.

Hello,
what do you mean by "barouder" ? we would need an example.
He fought his way up to the top: mais ce serait réussir à la force du poignet.
He played it rough:
He did it the hard way:
to rough it: vivre à la dure (double click sur rough)
we need a context !

Hello,
I think you mean:
backpack~pack noun = sac m à dos;
backpacker~packer noun = routard/-e m/f.
back-packing is going through a country carrying a back-pack; it doesn't really mean 'barouder'; it is rather looking like a camper.
A 'baroudeur' is someone who travels on search of adventure and thus also someone who is in the Army and goes here and there on a mission.
I would say then 'barouder' is to set off in search of adventure/ to leave for adventure/to be adventurous.
Best wishes.

Well... the meaning in general, for example :
Barouder : to fight, participate to fighting, darken (dans le sens de foncer),
For example :
Je vivrai dans la rue ainsi je pourrai barouder.
How would you translate this sentence in English?
Thank you.

Hello Lucile,
You are entirely right, I
But that is.
I'm watching a movie in English "I can't think straight" and at a moment one of the characters of the film said "I will make backpacker" and I had understood "backpacking".
Thank you very much Lucile. And gerondif too.
Have both a good night .

Hello,
Méfiez-vous quand même: to darken, c'est foncer au sens de foncer une couleur, la rendre plus foncée !
Si votre idée de barouder est une idée de difficulté, de bagarre, mes suggestions peuvent vous dépanner.

Neither Lucile nor I will be able to have a good night's sleep if we don't correct that sentence !!
I'm watching a movie in English "I can't think straight" and at a moment one of the characters of the film said "I will make backpacker"(bof! vous êtes sûre qu'il dit ça , effectivement, he can't think straight ! I will become a back packer! I will make sonne faux) and I had understood "backpacking".
I will take to back-packing: Je vais me mettre à la randonnée , je vais découvrir le pays en sac-à-dos.

Ok, I will answer you in French gerondif.
J'ai tenté de retranscrire par écrit ce que mes pauvres oreilles de débutante ont pu comprendre en anglais, donc effectivement et très certainement j'ai dû me tromper.
Je vous remercie
Now, you will be able to spend a good night, at least I hope so. Smile. ;o)
