Correction / WWII

Bonsoir à tous,
j'ai un niveau faible en anglais et j'ai une expression écrite à rendre; je ne suis pas sûr de moi au niveau orthographe et syntaxe.
Pourriez-vous corriger mon devoir s'il vous plaît ?

To begin with, this character is of Polish origin. During the second world war he fought the germans and defended his old country. But when he was demobilized in 1946, he was forced to came to england instead of staying in Poland.Now he clung to the things that reminded him of the old country.
Firstly, even if he lives in Englandn his roots are in Poland. Indeed, he doesn't consider himself an English man, for instance he frequents only a Polish café. Moreover he is very interested by Polish'actualitis as he reads Polish newspapers. It may be due to the fact that he misses his family or his country. Consequently he feels guilty for having left his fatherland.
Secondly, according to the character, when you leave your country, you want to keep the traditions because it are an integral par of your life. Moreover this café allows him to recall his country with the smellof borscht and pierogi and the dark poncling hung with Polish folk art. In my opinion by having memories of Polish culture, it can show this culture still stricks to it. Furthermore it make him feel at home in Poland even of he is in England. That's why Cling to what he recalls his former country, he also keeps his identity, to remember who he really is and not to forget its origins. Although it is well integrated in England, it can never replace the real country, because Poland is his true home.
