Dialogue preterit simple et be+ing

Bonsoir,
j'ai besoin d'une aide pour mon dialogue déja commencé qui me pose problème sur l'enquête d'un vol
voilà ce que j'ai fait:
Good morning
Policeman:-What were you doing?
-I was walking,when I saw a rober.
p:-When the roberry hapend?
-About 1pm
How was he wearing?
-He was wearing a cap,a black coat and a blue jeans but I didn't see his face. p:-What were other people?
-They were walking speaking and lauthing and cycling
p:-Were they a victime?
-I didn't know.
p:-And just a last questions What was your reaction?
-I was afraid and I was streed.
Merci de vore aide ,pouvez vous m'aider à formuler d'autres questions?

Policeman:-What were you doing?(quand? "when ....?")
-I was walking,when I saw a rober(orthographe).
p:-When the roberry hapend(1) la forme de "happen" au prétérit est "happened", mais là, il s'agit d'une question : auxiliaire-sujet- verbe. Voir un/des cour(s)sur le fonctionnement du prétérit)?
-(At)About 1pm
How(revoir les pronoms interrogatifs) was he wearing?
-He was wearing a cap,a black coat and a blue jeans but I didn't see(vous voyez, vous savez comment ça marche!) his face. p:-What were other people(il manque le verbe "faire". + "the other people")?
-They were walking( , ) speaking(ou "talking")( , )
p:-Were they(1) au singulier 2)structure "there + be", à revoir) a victime(orthographe)?
-I didn't(non, là c'est au présent, c'est au moment où l'on vous pose la question que vous ne savez pas...) know(mais sinon, vous pouvez dire "I can't remember."/"I didn't notice.").
p:-And just a last questions What was your reaction?
-I was afraid and I was streed(allez vérifier le mot que vous cherchiez).
Bon, évidemment, ce n'est pas terminé, mais est-ce si difficile d'imaginer les questions qu'un policier peut vous poser dans ce genre de situations?
Revoyez ce que j'ai indiqué.
