food and medicine/Correction
Message de liloudu82 posté le 03-01-2010 à 18:45:19 (S | E | F)

Bonjour à tous ,
Voilà, j'ai un devoir maison d'anglais à faire . Et un des sujets de rédaction est le suivant : One of the characters suggests that all that people in developing countries want is "food and medecine" . To what extent do you agree ?
Voilà ce que j'ai commencé à faire , mais je suis certaine d'avoir plusieurs erreurs , donc si quelqu'un veut bien prendre 5 minutes pour me corriger, ça serait adorable .

People comming from developing countries live in what economists call extreme poverty. Consequently their needs differ from europeans ones; they mainly focus in surviving - including "food and medicine". Other goods (as luxury ones (cosmetics) or convenient ones (cars)) are not their priority.
However, it is restrictive to limit developing countries' aspirations to "food and medicine" only. It can be true economicaly speaking but not be generalised. People in developing countries wants to reach happiness as all other humans.
Nevertheless they have an other way to reach that same goal, by respecting the nature around and focus on simple things of the life. This is due to a completly different culture. Therefore, only "food and medicine" are especting from developed countries but much more is hoped from ife.
To conclude , I would quote a famous phylosophical sentence that says "facing a bugglar, you'd rather teching him fishing tools rather than just give him a fish". In that way, developing countries would enjoy a safer life (not lacking of neither food nor medicine) but their culture will not be influenced by developed countries' one (i.e.: what products to purchase, how to choose their political leader, religion influences...) and they will be able to leave by themselves.

Voilà , D'avance merci.
Bisous a+

Bonsoir,
People comming from developing countries live in what economists call extreme poverty. Consequently their needs differ from europeans(adjectif invariable + majuscule) ones; they mainly focus in (double cliquez sur focus et vous aurez la bonne préposition)surviving - including "food and medicine". Other goods (as(plutot like que as car je ne vois pas de verbe) luxury ones (cosmetics) or convenient ones (cars)) are not their priority.
However, it is restrictive to limit developing countries' aspirations (le cas possessif passe juste avec un mot non humain)to "food and medicine" only. It can be true economicaly (2 l)speaking but not(j'aurais rappelé l'auxiliaire : but can't be ..) be generalised. People in developing countries wants (people + pluriel)to reach happiness as all other humans.
Nevertheless they have an other (souvent en un seul mot)way(a way of doing...: une façon de faire) to reach that same goal, by respecting the nature around and focus (dépend de by + ing) on simple things of the (supprimer: on parle de la vie en général)life. This is due to a completely different culture. Therefore, only "food and medicine" are especting(participe passé) from developed countries but much more is hoped from life.
To conclude , I would quote a famous phylosophical sentence that says "facing a bugglar(a beggar: un mendiant. a burglar: un cambrioleur), you'd rather teching(construction. I would rather play than work) him fishing tools rather than just give him a fish". In that way, developing countries would enjoy a safer life (not lacking of(supprimer) neither food n( il y a déjà not en début de phrase, alors soit on dit : lacking neither x nor y, ou alors : not lacking either x or y, qui est plus lourd)or medicine) but their culture will not be influenced by developed countries' one (i.e.: what products to purchase, how to choose their political leaders, religion influences...) and they will be able to leave(vivre? to live partir: to leave) by themselves.
