Bonjour,
Merci d'avance.
Subject: Cover letter attached to the registration form for the post of an assistant of French nationality in England for the year 2010/2011.
Dear Sir or Madam,
The opportunity to work as a French Assistant in the United Kingdom is offered to the students by the University of Maine, in Le mans. This would be the occasion to profit from a rewarding experience as well as to improve my communication skills thanks to social exchanges.
Last year I have been graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English, during this year I attended educational courses, together with an optional course which was entirely dedicated to teaching careers (métiers de l'enseignement). I am particularly interested in the post of assistant insofar as I wish to become an English teacher.
Alongside my studies, I have worked for nearly three years in the commercial sector, as a hcheckout operator. This job requires punctuality and availability. Sociability and friendliness are also required since the contact with customers is permanent. That is why I would be honoured to use these skills in the field that interests me the most, that of education.
In addition to the personal improvement that a complete immersion in the English culture represents, I have a great desire to share my knowledge concerning my native country and language with English pupils. I am very eager to complete this project and would be greatly pleased to be considered for this post.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
