2- To lie (especially in warmth or sunshine). (s b k) 1 bask = se prélasser, savourer.
3- The power gained by the use of a lever. (g l r v) 4 leverage = levier.
4- A break or open space. (p g) 1 gap = une brèche, une trouée.
5- An ugly old woman. (g h) 1 hag = une vieille sorcière.
6- To take revenge for a wrong on behalf of someone else. (n v g) 3 avenge = venger.
7- A kind of tall tree with tough wood and corrugated bark. (l m) elm = orme.
8- To play especially noisily and unskilfully on a piano or stringed instrument. (m s r t) 1 strum = gratter de...
