- Max would have found a flat for him to work the following day. Then the pilot announced that a storm (+E)(+3)
Max lui aurait trouvé un appartement pour travailler le lendemain. Puis le pilote annonça que l'orage
- would be there on that day and that there would be no return flight before the following day. At the airport,(+E)(+5)
serait là ce jour-là et qu'il n'y aurait aucun vol retour avant le lendemain. A l'aéroport,

Tim a attendu que Max vienne, comme on lui avait dit, ce qui ne s'est pas produit après deux longues heures d'attente.

Il y a eu une petite erreur suite à mon dernier poste : j'ai bien sous-entendu que Tim était chirurgien, (et non Max) : d'ailleurs, cela expliquait pourquoi Tim devait se coucher tôt et ne pouvait pas venir à l'anniversaire où se rendrait Max. Car là, il y a eu confusion… dans les prénoms je rectifie donc sur mon poste. La suite peut convenir puisque ça reste imprécis finalement.

Et donc, qui peut déduire de ce refus de Tim de ne pouvoir venir ? C'est forcément Max et non Tim => Max concluded that he (mis pour Tim) had to operate

C'est pour éviter ce genre de confusions que je préfère au maximum utiliser les prénoms plutôt que les pronoms (même si ça devient lourd)

Je préfère nettement utiliser les prénoms que les pronoms comme le premier ou le dernier, lui ou il, surtout quand il y a deux ou plusieurs personnages masculins, dans ce cas : ça embrouille… déjà que cet exercice n'est pas des plus simple à maîtriser.
Si j'ai utilisé "Tim conclut", c'est pour éviter de prendre les verbes to say/to tell. C'est du report speech, Tim le dit à haute voix. Tim conclut que lui-même donc il… devait opérer demain très tôt. Après cela on change d'ailleurs de sujet, en parlant de détendre l'atmosphère… Mais j'ai sans doute tort… Là, on ne s'est pas compris…
Commander des tisanes… Ah bon ! Vraiment ? Soit, mais j'attendais autre chose : sushis, pizzas, sandwiches, voire soupe ou salades mais dehors c'est glacial, quelque chose d'un peu plus consistant…

Here4u, je ne sais pas pour les autres sudistes de manière générale, mais pour ma part ni café, ni thés, et exceptionnellement une tisane voire du lait. À ma connaissance, il n'y a que trois herboristeries (couplées aux pharmacies ou aux magasins bio) vraiment très bien achalandées dans Toulon, signe qu'une clientèle apprécie ces breuvages, mais je ne connais pas de service livrant à domicile des tisanes ou des thés.
