Hello,
here is a little exercise I've just done, could you help me to correct it please?
Construire des phrases correctes en procédant à tous les ajustements nécessaires.
17. He acted … [locution prépositionnelle] fear (= par peur).
He acted for fear.
18. She is grateful [him, his help].
She is grateful to his help.
19. Remind [me, post this letter] (= fais-moi penser à)
Remind me to post this letter!
20. MUCH… [he, love (PRESENT), her], he does not want to marry her. (= quel que soit son amour pour elle…)
I don't know with the "much..."
21. The roads are icy, why NOT… [try, go by train], just for once?
The roads are icy, why not try to go by train, just for once?
22. He [get (PAST), himself, notice] (= il s’est fait remarquer)
He got himself noticed.
23. This [set (PAST), them, think] (= ceci les a fait réfléchir)
This set them thinking. (que veut dire "set" dans cette phrase ?)
24. She [wheedle (PAST), her father, good humour] (énoncé dit “résultatif” → elle a mis son père de bonne humeur en le cajolant)
She wheedled her father good humour.
