What is the besttranslation sentence according to you, please?
1. The lights are darker than the night
2. Lights are darker than night
3. Lights are darker than nights
Is the second one completely wrong?

How can a light be dark ? It is as if you were talking about dry water or cold flames.
1. The lights are darker than the nights grammaticalement correct si on sait de quelle lumières on parle, the définissant le sujet,comme si je disais : Here, the days are longer in summer than they are in winter.
2. Lights are darker than nights généralisation comme dans cats are faster than snails.
3. Lights are darker than nights .idem.
