Hello,
I always see in chatrooms this phrase" I am doing fine" so I ask for using the verb do in this phrase it is for me incorrect.
I don't understand how I am doing...?
And I suppose this "I am fine" without doing.

Vous êtes dans le mauvais forum, celui de français. Lucile rebasculera, je pense.
You are in the wrong forum, the one about French.
How do you do ? answer : How do you do, nice to meet you , is very formal.
How are you ? I am fine, thanks, what about you ? is normal standard English.
How are you doing ? I'm doing fine. is more relaxed, more colloquial. I used to hear it a lot in the USA in the 1980's and it is probably still in use.
I suppose that "How are you managing these days ?" (Comment tu te débrouilles ces temps-ci ?, Tu t'en sors en ce moment ?) became "How are you doing ?"
Normally, "How is he doing in life ?" means "Comment se débrouille-t-il dans la vie, a-t-il réussi sa vie ?, Is he happy in life, has he got a good job ?
We would have the same in French, the difference between the correct form:
Comment allez-vous ? Je vais très bien , merci, et vous ? and, more colloquial :
Comment ça va ?/ Comment tu vas ?/ Tu vas bien ?/ Ça va bien ?
Even worse, Comment ça va bien ? , a strange way of speaking where you give the answer in the question....
Just as bad: Comment qu'c'est ? ( I don't approve of that form but the people who use it when they speak to me really show an interest in my health, it is better than a mere "Ça va ?" when people move on and don't even listen to your answer )
Remember that, although you are being asked about your health, you are not supposed to start describing all your illnesses and ailments in English....
