I am a newcomer on this site and please, could you help me to translate that sentence :
L'Espagne a conquis la deuxième place ( tourisme) bien qu'elle ait subi en 2017 une attaque terroriste à Barcelone et des mouvements indépendantistes en Catalogne qui ont sûrement empêché des touristes de s'y rendre.
Here's my attempt
Spain won the second place although it underwent a terrorist attack in Barcelona in 2017 and separatist movements in Catalonia, these must have prevented tourists from going there.

J'aurais dit: Spain won the second rank .... mais c'est une préférence personnelle.
Et j'aurais dit: ...separatist movement in Catalonia, which must have stopped ...encore perso
